Chelsea FC suffer major injury blow ahead of Arsenal clash – report
N’Golo Kante is a doubt for Chelsea FC’s clash with Arsenal in the Europa League final after having picked up an injury in training, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is reporting that Kante is facing a race against time to be fit for Wednesday night’s showdown in Baku after suffering a problem in recent days.
It is claimed in the same report that Kante is now a “major doubt” for Chelsea FC’s showdown with the Gunners as they look to try and end the campaign on a high.
The story says that Kante’s latest injury setback is thought to be a knee problem, separate to the calf strain he suffered towards the end of the Premier League campaign.
It is claimed in the same report that Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is also “sweating” over the fitness of Jorginho, who suffered a knock in training last week.
Chelsea FC are also already without Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek after they both suffered Achilles injuries.
Kante has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea FC first team this season, with the World Cup winner having scored four goals and made four assists in 36 Premier League games.
