Prime Minister Oli to attend oath-taking of his Indian counterpart
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be attending the oath-taking ceremony of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, in Delhi, on Thursday.
PM Oli, on Monday, received an official invitation to attend the ceremony. Indian PM Modi has invited the heads of state/government of the BIMSTEC nations to his oath-taking.
Representatives from Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal and Bhutan, among few other nations will be going to the Indian capital to attend the ceremony.
The Prime Minister will leave for Delhi on Thursday itself and return the day after on May 31.
Narendra Modi will officially begin his second term as the Prime Minister of India after his oath-taking on Thursday. Modi’s Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) saw a landslide victory as the party took a massive lead in the recently held Lok Sabha elections in India.
