Sheffield murders – Mum Sarah Barrass, 34, back in court accused of murdering her two teenage sons
A MUM was today back in court accused of murdering her two teenage children.
Sarah Barrass, 34, is accused of killing sons Tristan, 13, and Blake Barrass, 14, following a “major” incident in Sheffield.
Police were scrambled to a property in the Shiregreen area of the city at around 7.30am on Friday, May 24.
Barrass appeared at Sheffield Crown Court today alongside the boy’s uncle Brandon Machin, 37, who also faces two counts of murder.
Dressed in prison-issue uniforms, the pair were flanked by five security officers for the short ten-minute hearing.
They spoke to confirm their names, ages and nationalities, but did not enter a plea.
Barrass is also accused of three counts of attempted murder relating to two other children.
Horrified neighbours told on Friday how one boy was taken away on a stretcher as paramedics frantically tried to resuscitate him.
