Ex-Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas takes over at Marseille on two-year deal
ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS has returned to the dugout with Marseille, according to reports.
The former Chelsea and Tottenham boss is said to have agreed a two-year contract to take over the French giants.
An announcement is expected later today, according to RMC Sport.
Villas-Boas, 41, will replace Rudi Garcia, who announced his decision to quit last week.
Marseille wasted no time in drafting in the Portuguese, who has been without a club for the past two seasons after a brief stint in China with Shanghai SIPG.
Ex-Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho is set to join his coaching staff.
Jose Mourinho had been linked with the job but Marseille have instead appointed his former No2.
Villas-Boas lasted less than a season at Chelsea and managed just a few more months at Tottenham before he was sacked.
He first caught the eye at Porto, winning the league in his only season in charge before landing a Premier League move.
After flopping in the Prem, AVB moved to Zenit St Petersburg and won the Russian league at the first time of asking.
