The Phillies outfielder finds himself in hot water after an incident in Atlantic City.
Major League Baseball has found itself dealing with more and more off the field issues in recent years, in particular with domestic violence accusations. The league has had to deal with issues surrounding players such as Roberto Osuna, Hector Olivera, Addison Russell, Jose Reyes, and others in recent years with varying degrees of discipline.
Now, the Phillies have their own issue to deal with in outfielder Odubel Herrera.

It is really important to note just how little we know about what did and did not happen in with this incident. Salisbury’s report notes that the domestic violence incident occurred at a hotel in Atlantic City and involved his girlfriend who sustained visible injuries to her arms and neck.
Beyond that, it isn’t known what exactly transpired and both the police and MLB will release details as they see fit regarding whether or not charges will be pursued and any discipline that Herrera can expect to receive. We will keep you updated as this story develops.
