ARSENAL and Chelsea fans have been getting into the party spirit, throwing on their best fancy dress ahead of Europa League final in Baku.
The few fans who have made the long trip to Azerbaijan for the Europa League final have certainly been making the most of it.
The Gunners take on the Blues on Wednesday night – with a spot in next season’s Champions League at stake.
Both clubs have struggled to sell their allocation of tickets for the game in Baku – with fans put off by the logistical nightmare that is the journey.
As well as the length of the journey – and the numerous changes on flights – supporters have avoided the game over sky-high costs of travel and accommodation.
But those fans who have made the trip to the farthest corner of Europe made sure to get into the swing of things.

Azerbaijan’s capital was turned into a sea of blue and red – as fans waved flags and worse scarves, with some even throwing on the face-paint.
Drummers from both teams’ cheering squads were also seen doing the rounds and making a racket.
Other supporters opted for fancy dress the day before the big match.
Some were dressed as members of the Queen’s Guards – while two others even dressed as the Queen and Prince Philip, as supporters brought a bit of Britain to Baku.

“The Beatles” were also seen strolling through the streets of Azerbaijan – with Freddie Mercury and Charlie Chaplin also in attendance.
All in all though, fans just looked thrilled to be out there enjoying the occasion.
With Arsenal missing out on a top four spot in the Premier League, the game represents their only chance of getting back to the top table of European football.
For Chelsea on the other hand, it would be helpful for Maurizio Sarri particularly to win some silverware, with himself under pressure after his first season at Stamford Bridge.
