Love Island’s Amy Hart has resigned from her job as an air stewardess – and she’s not even famous yet
LOVE Island star Amy Hart has quit her job as an air stewardess before even stepping foot in Casa Amor.
The gorgeous flight attendant, 26, – who hails from West Sussex – worked for British Airways for the past eight years but has called it a day to pursue a career as a reality star.
Announcing her resignation on Instagram, she wrote: “Sometimes goodbye, though it hurts, in your heart is the only way to make way for destiny…..Doors to manual and cross check for the very. Last. Time. ”
“Yes after 8 years of causing havoc, hosting parties at 35,000 feet, channeling my inner Elton, writing hits such as ‘dead on the jumpseat’ and ‘five years gold’.
“Rolling out the Amz experience worldwide and being the queen of the party bag, I’m reluctantly hanging up my wings to start a new adventure.”
She added that opportunities like Love Island “don’t come around every day” and admitted she wouldn’t rule out a return in the future.
She continued: “they’ll always need people to fly planes so, perhaps it’s not goodbye and just ‘til we meet again’.
“All I can say to my Gatwick guys and girls is thank you. Thank you for the laughs, the tears, the deep and meaningfuls at 3am and for being my family for the last 8 years.
“I love you all dearly and will miss you all. It truly is the best job in the world. Stick together, look after each other and fly safe. Lady Cabinmanageress Hart over and out. 2011-2019 GATWICK TIL I DIE .”
The star has certainly enjoyed her time in the skies and has boasted about meeting celebs including Piers Morgan on board her flights.

Amy is now gearing up for her stint on one of Britain’s most popular reality shows, and while she’s said she doesn’t think she will be the best looking girl, she’s confident she’ll have the best personality.
She said: “I’m a real girl’s girl and I do believe in girl code. My best friends at home are my best friends because we have the same taste in alcohol but different taste in men.”
Although she’s hoping to have a good time in the villa, Amy wants to find “the one” on Love Island as she hasn’t been that lucky back home, stressing Tragedy by Steps is the best song to describe her love life.
