Spurs and Liverpool facing Champions League chaos with 31C heatwave set to sizzle Madrid over weekend
SPURS and Liverpool players will be forced to prepare for nightmare conditions in sunny Spain at the Champions League final.
Madrid is about to be hit by a heatwave over the weekend meaning temperatures are expected to rocket to 31C an hour before kick-off on Saturday night.
Even after sunset and throughout the rest of the game, the temperature is not expected to dip below 26C.
In contrast, Spurs and Liverpool’s players would not only dealt with a maximum 20C heat had the game been played last night.
Last week, Jurgen Klopp took his team to a training camp in Marbella to get used to hotter conditions.

Uefa officials have previously allowed drinks breaks during games where the conditions are difficult and that is expected to happen on Saturday.
Both sets of players will have experienced tough conditions in Russia last season but few World Cup games were staged with the heat near 30C.
Equally, both Liverpool and Tottenham fans are likely to be warned about the potential of dehydration in the Spanish capital.
