A man and his six-year-old son en route to a hospital for a blood transfusion for the child were killed on Thursday when their motorcycle collided with a truck near Biriyakhedi village on the Kanwada-Bhawanimandi link road, police said. The deceased were identified as Laturlal Kanjar (40), a resident of Nandikhedi village of Jhalawar district, and his son Prakesh, they said. A group of Naxals allegedly torched at least six mini trucks engaged in transportation of sand in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Thursday, police said. The incident took place near Cherpal river in Gangaloor police station area, a police official here said. "Some suspected ultras reached the spot and set ablaze six mini trucks parked along the river before fleeing from the spot," he said.
