Centre's policies 'dictatorial': Pawar on CAA, JNU violence

Mock fire drill held at RBI

A mock drill was carried out at the Reserve Bank of India on Thursday to check fire preparedness, an official of the Delhi Fire Service said. The drill started at 3 pm and three fire tender was pressed into service as part of the drill, he said. All employees were immediately evacuated, he added.

Assets worth over Rs 2,500 crore have been attached in connection with a money laundering and fraud case against Haryana-based SRS group, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) said on Thursday. "Movable and immovable assets like land, real estate projects, commercial projects, residential houses, a school, cinema hall, balances in bank accounts and fixed deposits totalling to Rs 2,510.82 crore of the SRS Group, its promoters, their family members and associate companies have been attached," the agency said in a statement. Fitch says removing Bharti Airtel from ratings watch to depend on Supreme Court ruling

Fitch Ratings on Thursday said removing Bharti Airtel Ltd from its Rating Watch Negative (RWN) will depend on the Supreme Court ruling on a review petition filed by telecom companies against being asked to pay backdated statutory dues after considering non-telecom revenues. Fitch assigned a rating of 'BBB-' to the company's proposed US dollar senior unsecured convertible notes. 311 schools lying non-operational in Arunachal: Edu minister

As many as 311 schools are lying non-operational in Arunachal Pradesh due to zero enrolment, education minister Taba Tedir told the Assembly on Thursday. Tedir, in a written reply to senior Congress member Nabam Tuki, also said most of these defunct schools are located in remote areas of the state and attributed lack of infrastructure and mass migration to urban areas as reasons for zero enrolment.
