Energy sector tumbles toward lowest close in 10 years as oil prices fall again

The energy is suffering another broad selloff, to lead the S&P 500's 11 key sectors in declines, as crude oil prices fall for a third-straight day amid worries that the global spread of COVID-19 will hurt demand. The SPDR Energy Select Sector ETF slumped 2.3%, with 27 of 28 components losing ground. That put the sector ETF (XLE) on track for the lowest close since July 2010. CAA clashes: Ghaziabad, Noida police ramp up security along Delhi borders

Jamiat appeals for peace; seeks govt action against Mishra

Prominent Muslim body Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind on Tuesday appealed for peace and urged the government to take action against BJP leader Kapil Mishra for allegedly inciting violence in northeast Delhi. Jamiat chief Maulana Arshad Madani also called on Muslims to be courageous in these difficult times and stay safe. "I would like to appeal for peace. Bank guarantee case: Bank of Baroda moves Supreme Court against Calcutta HC order

State-owned Bank of Baroda (BoB) on Tuesday said it has moved the Supreme Court against an order passed by the Calcutta High Court in a matter related to a bank guarantee issued on behalf of Simplex Projects Ltd. A bank guarantee of Rs 6.97 crore was furnished by BoB to Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) on behalf of Simplex Projects.
