Language schools get dip in bookings

English language schools have experienced another drop in bookings, citing a recent spike in COVID-19 cases acting as a deterrent to students’ cautious parents. The industry has been operating at just 9% of last year’s occupancy throughout July and was looking at 10% in August. Born in Boroujerd in western Iran in June 1968, Saremi was martyred by the Taliban in Mazar-i Sharif on August 8, 1998. Rain lashes Kerala; landslide toll rises to 43

Rain continued to lash many parts of Kerala on Sunday amid predictions of extremely heavy rainfall in six districts, raising concerns of aggravated flood situation in low lying areas, even as the death toll in the recent massive landslide in Idukki district rose to 43 with 17 more bodies being retrieved from the debris.

Classical Liberals Shouldn’t be Afraid to Talk About the Common Good

Patrick Deneen, a professor of political philosophy at Notre Dame and critic of liberalism, began a tweet thread on May 17 by asserting, “Liberalism holds that there can be no common good, only individual interests.”  Deneen’s assertion is incorrect, but classical liberals can make it too easy for critics.  Talk of the common good is not a collectivist plot, and classical liberals should be more comfortable affirming it in political discussions.
