Details of the Day

• Busch was running in the top-10 with less than 10 laps to go when he made contact with the wall, forcing an unscheduled pit stop and ultimately dropping back to a 17th-place result
• The MENCS cars ran a different race package this weekend that included vents in the hood, a larger radiator pan, and a different splitter

Kurt Busch, No. 1 GEARWRENCH/Monster Energy Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 – “We struggled with the handle on the racecar most of the night, just trying to find some grip. I got into the fence in the final stage and had to pit. We didn’t want to try and make it to the end with the damage, in fear that we could cause a caution and hurt Larson’s chance to secure the win. Congrats to the guys on the No. 42 team for bringing home the big payday.”
