Merck said Wednesday it has named Caroline Litchfield as its chief financial officer effective April 1, replacing Robert M. Davis, who will become president effective April 1 and chief executive on July 1. Litchfield is currently Merck's treasurer, overseeing treasury, tax and investor relations.
