The California serogroup (CSG) of Orthobunyaviruses comprises several members capable of causing neuroinvasive disease in humans, including La Crosse orthobunyavirus (LACV), Jamestown Canyon orthobunyavirus (JCV), and Inkoo orthobunyavirus (INKV). Despite being genetically and serologically closely related, their disease incidences and pathogenesis in humans and mice differ. We have previously shown that following intraperitoneal inoculation of weanling mice... Читать дальше...

Combinatorial threshold-linear networks (CTLNs) are a special class of inhibition-dominated TLNs defined from directed graphs. Like more general TLNs, they display a wide variety of nonlinear dynamics including multistability, limit cycles, quasiperiodic attractors, and chaos. In prior work, we have developed a detailed mathematical theory relating stable and unstable fixed points of CTLNs to graph-theoretic properties of the underlying network. Читать дальше...

Evaluation of the passenger departure efficiency of a comprehensive transport hub is essential for traffic managers. Through the evaluation, security risks in the hub can be found in time to ensure the safe departure of passengers. The attention of existing studies has focused on the analysis of the overall situation of the hub, and the quantitative description of departure status in different connection areas inside the hub is insufficient. Aiming at vehicle and lane detections on road scene, this paper proposes a vehicle and lane line joint detection method suitable for car following scenes. This method uses the codec structure and multi-task ideas, shares the feature extraction network and feature enhancement and fusion module. Both ASPP (Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling) and FPN (Feature Pyramid Networks) are employed to improve the feature extraction ability and real-time of MobileNetV3, the attention... Читать дальше...

In the 12th Five-Year Plan period, Sichuan province has selected strategic emerging industries such as new-generation information technology, new energy, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, biology, energy conservation and environmental protection. However, its strategic emerging industries are still in the stage of cultivation and development, and there are some problems such as low industrial agglomeration and obvious industrial restructuring. In essence... Читать дальше...

Innovation is intrinsically dependent on the construction of local infrastructure. Using panel data on 285 cities in China, we empirically examined the impact of high-speed rails on urban innovation and the mechanism underlying this effect. We found that high-speed rails significantly increase urban innovation. In our analysis, high-speed rails were found to increase the agglomeration of innovation factors, including population and investment, which in turn increase urban technological innovation. Myostatin (MSTN) negatively regulates muscle development and positively regulates metabolism through various pathways. Although MSTN function in cattle has been widely studied, the changes in the gut microbiota due to MSTN mutation, which contribute to host health by regulating its metabolism, remain unclear. Here, high-throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene was conducted to analyze the gut microbiota of wild-type (WT) and MSTN mutant (MT) cattle. A total... Читать дальше...

In the light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, being considered a present challenge for public health, the main purpose of this work is to analyze the vulnerability to stress of a sample of nursing students in Romania considering their status on labour market (employed students in the medical system and non-employed students) before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Employed students were more vulnerable to stress comparing to non-employed ones during the pandemic. Читать дальше...
