I read with some amusement the recent letter to the editor — full of NRA talking points and logical fallacies — that scolded The Blade for calling on Gov. Mike DeWine to veto the permitless concealed-carry bill. I’m old enough to remember when the governor claimed he would “do something” in the wake of the horrific mass shooting in Dayton. For someone who claims to be so pro-life, this law is the opposite of that.

Douglas "Ned" Hoffman (1945-2022)

Douglas N. “Ned” Hoffman, a former teacher and principal in the Perrysburg school district, who later sold real estate and co-founded a family business and a Christmastime charity — for which he dressed up as Santa — died Wednesday in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg Township. He was 76.
