Both England and Wales are taking part in the Junior Women’s World Cup in South Africa from 1 - 12 April.

The event takes place in Potchefstroom, and this is the second date for the tournament, having been postponed from its original schedule of last December. Wales are competing at this level for the first time in more than 20 years.

Pool D: Germany, India, Malaysia, Wales

Germany finished third in the EuroHockey Junior Championship but many of the team have since had experience at the Tokyo Olympic Games and will bring a lot of high quality playing experience with them. In the past few weeks, the German side was able to gain invaluable experience playing as a team in the FIH Hockey Pro League.
