Singles study: More Midwesterners consider political issues in dating

A new study by the dating app Match in partnership with Indiana University researchers shows that political issues are increasingly important to singles in the Midwest when it comes to considering potential partners. According to the study, 29% of Midwestern singles consider not having an opinion on a key political issue a dealbreaker—up from just 15% in 2017.

This gun policy platform could help reduce gun violence by 28%, researchers say

Review of more than 1,000 articles seeks to understand how nanomaterials affect plants

Researchers at the University of São Paulo's Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (CENA-USP) in Brazil, collaborating with colleagues in Canada, France, Italy and Spain, reviewed 1,154 original scientific articles published between 2009 and 2022 on the effects of nanomaterials in 1,374 plants belonging to 253 species. The metadata review assembled and organized quantitative information on the experimental parameters used in the scientific literature of the past decade.
