The two police officers were suspended for allegedly assaulting a man on December 30. The officers were accused of beating up the man and dragging him into a nearby ATM. The officers have denied taking any money from the man. The man who was dragged in the video and another person present are being questioned. The incident occurred when the two police officers were on patrol duty in a police control room.

The 750th anniversary of the Ajilamogaru Masjid will be held from January 4-8. The masjid is in the town of Bantwal in the Dakshina Kannada district of southern India.
