A 52-year-old man died when his throat was slit by a kite manja on Sunday, December 11. The deceased, identified as Balvant Patel, was a resident of Navagam Colony in Uttarayan. Patel was still 12 days away from his death, but people have started flying kites in December. Three people have suffered severe neck injuries because of kite manja - all of which took place on Sundays.
