By the narrowest of margins, the Turkish elections remain formally inconclusive after the votes were counted on the early morning of May 15, with the prospect of a runoff second election between the incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his principal challenger Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu scheduled for May 28.
