The Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) has warned the state government that small-scale units may be forced to cease operations unless the state withdraws its electricity tariff hike. The government increased the tariff by INR2.89 per unit to account for its Griha Jyoti scheme, which promised households the supply of free power of up to 200 units per month.
