KUALA LUMPUR: The Speedy Tigers had no business losing to China, who are eight rungs below them, at the Olympic Qualifier in Muscat Oman, on Monday.

Great Britain’s power and circle penetration proved too good for Pakistan in Muscat as Paul Revington’s side eased to a 6-1 victory — their biggest ever win over the once Asian powerhouse nation, according to records — and open their Olympic qualifying account in some style.

MUSCAT: Pakistan began their bid to qualify for a first Olympics in 12 years with a dispiriting 6-1 reverse against Great Britain on Monday.

Olympic champions Belgium proved too strong for Ireland as they went down 4-2 in the second Pool game of the Olympic Qualifiers in Valencia.

Without creating any clear cut opportunities Belgium dominated the opening exchanges of today’s second match for Ireland Men in their Olympic Qualifiers in Valencia. A well organised Irish defence coped admirably with whatever they were faced with.
