Kerala moves SC seeking stay on Citizenship Amendment Rules
Kerala has filed a new plea in the Supreme Court, seeking a stay on the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Rules, 2024. The state government argues that the rules, which pave the way for implementing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, are discriminatory and against secular principles.
