The aviation regulations mandate that high-energy rotor components must possesses adequate containment capabilities. Ensuring the containment of the turbine wheel of the air turbine starter is of paramount importance. In this paper, the design thickness of the containment ring was determined and the containment ring deformation was given. Based on the design thickness and deformation of the containment ring, an outer casing structure design method was proposed by using FEM. Читать дальше...

Urban agglomerations, such as the Yangtze River Delta, Yangtze River Middle Reaches, and Chengdu-Chongqing regions, play a crucial role in driving China’s regional economic development. While previous studies have focused on economic and social aspects, the fiscal dimension of urban agglomerations remains underexplored. This study addresses this gap by investigating the relationship between population size and fiscal efficiency in these three major urban agglomerations along... Читать дальше...

Data indicate that carbon dioxide emissions from residential buildings in China constitute 60% of the country’s total, making carbon reduction efforts in residential construction crucial for achieving dual carbon goals. From the perspective of eight major economic regions, this paper selects energy consumption, per capita residential area, and residential population as input indicators, per capita disposable income as the output indicator, and carbon dioxide emissions as the undesired output indicator.

Biofeedback therapy is useful for treatment of functional defecation disorders but is not widely available and is labor intensive. We developed an Internet-of-Medical-Things (IoMT) device, enabling self-guided biofeedback therapy. This study assesses the safety and efficacy of self-guided biofeedback therapy using the IoMT device in comparison to standard operator-led therapy. Patients experiencing urge or seepage fecal incontinence (≥1 episode/week)... Читать дальше...

This study explores the challenge of differentiating autism spectrum (AS) from non-AS conditions in adolescents and adults, particularly considering the heterogeneity of AS and the limitations ofssss diagnostic tools like the ADOS-2. In response, we advocate a multidimensional approach and highlight lexicogrammatical analysis as a key component to improve diagnostic accuracy. From a corpus of spoken language we developed, interviews... Читать дальше...

Previous research has shown that people are more influenced by advisors who are objectively more accurate, but also by advisors who tend to agree with their own initial opinions. The present experiments extend these ideas to consider people’s choices of who they receive advice from—the process of source selection. Across a series of nine experiments, participants were first exposed to advisors who differed in objective accuracy, the likelihood of agreeing with the participants’ judgments... Читать дальше...
