Thirty-five years have passed since the pivotal beginning of Bulgaria’s transition from a one-party system to democracy and a market economy. On November 10, 1989, the Central Committee of the ruling Bulgarian Communist Party (BCP) held a plenum where they removed Todor Zhivkov, the longtime general secretary and head of state. He was succeeded by then-Foreign Minister Petar Mladenov, who soon criticized Zhivkov’s administration, accusing it of steering Bulgaria into economic crisis and practical bankruptcy. J&K relaxes upper age limit for combined competitive exams of UT

The Jammu and Kashmir government raised the upper age limit for open merit candidates taking the Union Territory's combined competitive exams to 35 years from 30. Reserved category candidates will have an upper age limit of 37 years, while candidates with physical disabilities will have an upper age limit of 38 years.

Singapore Airlines to invest additional Rs 3,195 cr in Air India post-Vistara merger

Singapore Airlines (SIA) will invest an additional Rs 3,194.5 crore in Tata Group-owned Air India following the merger of Vistara, which is set to be completed by November 11, 2024. SIA will hold a 25.1% stake in the enlarged Air India. The investment includes SIA’s 49% stake in Vistara and Rs 2,058.5 crore in cash.
