Azerbaijan, Turkey planning joint drills in Nakichevan

As part of a military cooperation agreement signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan, the two countries' armed forces will meet in Nakichevan next month to conduct joint exercises.

Entitled Indestructible Brotherhood – 2019, the drills will run from June 7 through 11, Haqqin.az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense.

Ahead of the scheduled event, the two countries recently exchanged flags on the Umut Bridge in Azerbaijan.

Earlier this month, the Turkish and Azerbaijani defense forces conducted the drills Mustafa Kemal Ataturk – 2019 (under the same agreement) in an effort to raise their armies' military efficiency and promote an effective exchange.
