The crash, that came minutes before the Narendra Modi-led new government allocated the ministerial portfolios, were attributed to some errors related to algo trades, although none of the exchanges confirmed the same. Some on the street even attributed the crash to traders’ disappointment with the allocation of some of the ministries, dealers said. However, they ruled out any ‘fat finger’ trade like in 2012.
