Chelsea's Olivier Giroud posts Twitter message after Europa League final victory
Olivier Giroud has had an extremely successful time in England since he moved from Montpelier in 2012 for a bargain £12m.
The Europa League on Wednesday was his first European trophy but his seventh overall and he played a crucial role as Chelsea thrashed his former team Arsenal 4-1.
After a insipid first half, Giroud brought the contest alive with a superb header from an Emerson Palmieri cross. He also set up Eden Hazard’s second with a delightful chip which the Belgian turned in.
The Frenchman was overjoyed with his latest trophy.
