Britain’s Got Talent’s Flakefleet Primary School in chicken pox scare as youngster falls sick just hours before live final
FLAKEFLEET Primary School suffered a chicken pox scare just hours before tonight’s live final of Britain’s Got Talent.
A youngster fell ill leading to concern they had the highly contagious disease, which would put their performance in jeopardy.
Fortunately chicken pox was ruled out so the whole choir can perform this evening and will battle it out to win the show.
An insider told the Mirror: “It’s been a bit chaotic behind-the-scenes trying to sort it out.
“One of the choir members thought they had chicken pox but it turns out they didn’t so all the choir members are present for this evening’s show.”
The kids’ choir is led by headteacher Dave McPartlin and the aspiring singers are aged between 4 and 11 and have a variety of singing abilities.
The choir received the Golden Buzzer from judge David Walliams, who was reduced to tears by their moving performance of Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now, putting them straight into the semi-finals.
During the semi final the choir stormed on to the BGT stage singing I Need A Hero – with Mr McAPartlin appearing in a frock before transforming into a super-hero character.
Tonight they will go up against magician X and daredevil act Jonathan Goodwin.
They will be joined by dancers Libby and Charlie, who were given a wildcard place by the judges, as well as Dave and Finn, 4MG, Siobhan Phillips, Colin Thackery, Kojo Anim, Ben Hart and Mark McMullan for the last live show of the series.

The 11 acts will take to the stage in the hopes of winning £250,000 and a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance 2019.
The last instalment of the series will also see former winners Diversity perform a new dance routine, while Susan Boyle will duet with Michael Ball on A Million Dreams.
The Britain’s Got Talent live final airs on Sunday at 7.30pm on ITV
