Top African bankers to speak at Accra’s Digital Banking Summit

0

Some two dozen speakers, about half of them top figures in African banks, are going to take the floor at the Digital Banking Summit in Accra on August 19-20.

Effects of digitisation on the future of microfinance, security aspects of digital identity, regulatory technology (regtech), blockchain, and cryptocurrencies are some of the issues to be raised at the conference.

Besides African banks and companies, the participants will include Geneva-headquartered financial software provider Temenos, New York-based fintech company First Access, and Saudi real estate finance company Bidaya Home Finance.

The UN Economic Commission for Africa, international IT standard setter ISACA, and the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP), a Washington-based independent think tank working for financial inclusion, will also take part.

The African countries to be represented at the event include Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda.

The conference is being organised by International Centre for Strategic Alliances (ICSA), an event organiser and manager.
