Afternoon thunderstorms delivered hail and flash-flooding to Arapahoe County, Colorado, on Saturday, June 1, battering cars and homes, the National Weather Service reported. Video posted to Twitter shows large hailstones raining down on neighborhoods near Arapahoe Park in Aurora, Colorado. Earlier on Saturday, forecasters warned that large hail and winds up to 50 miles per hour would hit Arapahoe County. Social media users confirmed the arrival of hail storms, posting photos and videos showing chunks of ice ranging from the size of quarters to the size of golf balls, according to witnesses.
