BRITAIN’S Got Talent Dave and Finn were surprised during tonight’s final by the vet who saved the former police dog’s life – and viewers were obsessed with how hot he is.

The adorable pup was left fighting for his life after he was brutally stabbed by a thug while protecting Dace during the course of their service in the police.

The dishy vet stunned viewers with his good looks as he surprised Dave and Finn

The pair had campaigned for Finn’s Law which protects police dogs in service and have used their time on Britain’s Got Talent to raise awareness.

After a stunning performance where the magician duo correctly predicted the words the judges picked and placed it in

Ant and Dec joined them on stage after the judges gave their feedback, and told him: “We’ve got a special surprise for you, because the bet who saved Finn’s life is actually here.”

But fans were distracted by the attractive vet, with one tweeting: “That vet was hot #BGTFinal #bgt”

Another added: “@BGT that vet- suddenly a lot of pet getting ‘sick’ ”

Police dog Finn saved Dave’s life in 2016 when he bravely leapt between the officer and an attacker while they were on a shift together.

PC Wardell, from the Hertfordshire Constabulary, and Finn had been trying to track down a robber who held a taxi driver at gunpoint.

The man and dog act made it to the final

During the search the suspected robber made a run for it from a row of shops.

The pair gave chase and, as they caught up with him in a garden as he ran for a fence, Finn grabbed his leg.

“In a split second” PC Wardell said he saw the man’s hand move away from his dog’s side. I watched as a massive piece of dark metal was pulled from Finn’s chest,” he recalled.

“It was covered in blood… it was so wide… a serrated hunting knife, probably about 10in long.”

Then he lunged again, “slicing open Finn’s head… and my hand”, he said.

After successful emergency surgery, PC Wardell helped nurse his friend back to health after Finn’s stomach had to be held together with 30 stitches.

He spent three weeks sleeping on a makeshift bed next to his dog on his road back to health, describing the hound as “possibly the most famous police dog in the UK at that moment”.

Eleven weeks after the incident in October 2016 and the pair were back in service, with Finn’s tracking leading to an arrest on his first shift.

The 16-year-old suspected of knifing Finn has now been convicted of stabbing a police dog and Finn has now taken a well-deserved retirement – at his favourite cop’s home.
