GEMMA Collins looks unrecognisable in throwback photo of her as a brunette on Towie.

The 38-year-old is known for her signature long platinum blonde locks, but she once sported a very different look, which saw her ex-boyfriend James Argent liken her to Girls Aloud’s Cheryl.

In images of The GC from almost 10 years ago, which have resurfaced online, captures Gemma with shorter chocolate brown hair and a fringe.

The makeover was aired in a previous episode of the programme, which saw Gemma unveil her new look to Arg.

Gemma made her Towie debut in 2011, and has been a regular on the programme ever since.

But this is not the only transformation Gemma has undergone.

Earlier this year, prior to signing up for Dancing On Ice, Gemma recruited the help of fitness instructor, Vicky Young, to help her get into shape.

During her time on the ice skating competition she continued to show off her slimmer figure.

Since splitting from Arg once again Gemma has carried on her health kick.

Gemma recently jetted off to California where she often worked out with former friend and close friend Charlie King. 

During the vacation the boutique owner attracted a lot of male attention for her curves.

And she proudly displayed her figure in skimpy swimsuits while in LA.

A recent holiday to the Caribbean Gemma continued to show off her three stone weight loss as she perfected a cartwheel on the beach.

The upload attracted the attention of Peter Andre, who commented: “Love it.”

Gemma has followed a no sugar diet, and has stopped eating after 6pm in a bid to shed the pounds.

And has silenced speculation she is relying on weight loss pills to help her on her weight loss journey.
