Morning News and Notes for June 5
Don’t look now, but Francisco Lindor now has his best career OPS mark. A two-homer, one-double game in your 41st of the season will do that for ya. His average, OBP and SLG are also career highs.
His bat, along with Shane Bieber’s arm were pretty much all the Indians needed to defeat the Twins last night.

Oliver “OP” Perez was great, too.
Around baseball
• Baltimore’s Pedro Severino hit 3 home runs.
• Jay Bruce made himself very popular with his new teammates.
• They’ll need him to keep that up, because Andrew McCutchen is done for the season.
• Clint Frazier is no fan of the New York media.
• Hyun-Jin Ryu continued his run at an NL Cy Young award.
