Costco May sales up 5.9%

Costco Wholesale Corp. said late Wednesday its May net sales rose 5.9% to $11.7 billion, compared with $11 billion a year ago. Same-store sales excluding gas sales and other items rose 4.3%, the wholesaler said. Costco shares were flat in the extended session after ending the regular trading day up 1%.
