Love Island host Caroline Flack left ‘raging’ after Kelly Brook claimed she’s copying her life

CAROLINE Flack is said to be raging after Kelly Brook claimed she was copying her life – by hosting Love Island and dating rugby bad boy Danny Cipriani.

Kelly labelled Caroline’s behaviour “weird” and suggested she would soon try to take over her radio show.

Celebrity Love Island was originally hosted by Kelly in 2005 – but she was replaced by Fearne Cotton after just one series.

Speaking about Caroline on her Heart radio show this week, Kelly said: “I can’t believe she’s doing Love Island and dating Danny Cipriani.

I was like, ‘Is she just following my life or something’? Hang on, I was the first host of Love Island, then I dated Danny. It’s like, what’s next?

“Is she going to come and start hosting this show next?

“I don’t know if she’s still dating him. But when I look at stuff like that I’m like, ‘This is just weird. It’s just weird’.”

Sources say there is no love lost between the glamorous pair, both 39, with Caroline said to be furious at the latest outburst.

Caroline took over the helm of Love Island when it was revived in 2015 – nine years after the original celebrity version was cancelled.

Her tenure has seen the show become one of ITV’s most successful franchises. More than 4.2million watched this year’s launch show on Monday evening – a 10 per cent climb on the previous series.

A TV source said of Kelly’s remarks: “The comments just seemed needlessly catty and unpleasant. It’s well known that Kelly was sacked by Celebrity Love Island after the first series and replaced by Fearne Cotton.

“Caroline has hosted the show for five years and ITV have seen the ratings increase every year.”

Earlier this year The Sun revealed Caroline had been seeing England rugby ace Danny.

The pair hit it off during a string of dates, including a romantic trip to A-list favourite Babington House in Somerset.

They have since ended the brief fling but remain good friends.

Kelly enjoyed a tumultuous romance with Danny from 2008, with the pair having a string of rows.

In her 2013 autobiography she claimed they split because he gave his number to a lap dancer while the couple were on holiday together in Las Vegas. She also labelled him “a car crash”.
