RIGHT after Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard chose their Love Island partners, the third episode continued with Anton receiving a bombshell text revealing that a twist was set to rock the villa.

But what else took place in episode three of the ITV2 reality show? Let’s find out…

What happened tonight?

Anton Danyluk’s text message read: “Anton and Joe, you are now single. At the end of the week, all Islanders will take part in a recoupling. Anyone not picked to be in a couple will be dumped from the island. #ScotFree #DontBeSourdough”.

The Islanders realise that one of them could potentially be going home if they are not picked to be in a couple and wave their hopes of finding love goodbye.

Soon after, Amy Hart received a text mentioning that she and Curtis would head out on a double date with Lucie Donlan and Tommy – and for obvious reasons, Joe is absolutely devastated by the news.

In the beach house, he shared: “I feel like I got snaked out big time.”

During their double date, Lucie showed signs that she still has feelings for Joe Garratt – her original partner – but she succumbs to Tommy’s advances in the end.

The professional boxer has completely fallen for the blonde surfer, telling her: “If two Beyoncés and three Rihannas walked in tomorrow, my head wouldn’t be turned”.

Meanwhile, Amy and Curtis make advances that give off the impression they have a genuine connection between one another while Amber Gill makes her move on Joe while Lucie is out of the villa.

Amber tells Joe that she regrets not stepping forward for him and admits that she’s not happy being with Callum Macleod.

Following her date, Lucie avoids any serious talk with Joe and decided to sleep on the sofa instead of spending the night in Tommy’s bed.

On the next day, Tommy seems unsure whether Lucie can get over Joe and decides to form a bond with Amber, telling the beauty therapist that he’s also interested in her.

In the end, Lucie decides that she wants to give Tommy a chance despite feeling strongly about her former Love Island partner – but Tommy seems to think she just doesn’t want to hurt either of their feelings.

“I think you’re too nice of a person to upset anybody. You don’t want to upset me and don’t want to upset Joe”.

Regardless, he wants to see where his relationship with Lucie will go so long as they remain a couple.

And to conclude the episode, Molly-Mae Hague is announced as the third newcomer to join the fifth series before the credits begin to roll.

When is Love Island returning to ITV2?

The fifth series commenced on Monday, June 3, 2019, at 9pm with an explosive launch hosted by Caroline Flack.

You can catch the show daily on ITV2 where the main programme, narrated by Iain Stirling, will give us the latest scoop on all the goings-on in the villa – from couples cracking on to singletons getting mugged off.

Saturday night’s show, however, differs from the rest of the week, as it is a round-up of all the best bits from the villa that week.
