1 Ukrainian soldier killed, another 1 wounded amid 12 attacks in Donbas on June 5

One Ukrainian soldier was killed in action, another one was wounded in action amid 12 attacks mounted by Russia-led forces in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, on June 5.

“On June 5, armed formations of the Russian Federation violated the ceasefire 12 times. They used banned weapons, 82mm mortars, in two instances. One member of the Joint Forces was killed and another one was wounded amid enemy shelling,” the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters said on Facebook in a morning update on June 6.

Hot spots in the Skhid (East) sector were the villages of Vodiane, Bohdanivka, Novotroyitske, Pyshchevyk, Talakivka, and Novohryhorivka.

In the Pivnich (North) sector, under attacks were the villages of Stary Aidar and Krymske, and the town of Zolote in Luhansk region.

The enemy used 82mm mortars, weapons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, anti-tank grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, small arms, and sniper rifles.

According to Ukrainian intelligence reports, one enemy fighter was killed, another four were wounded.

From 00:00 a.m. to 07:00 a.m. Kyiv time on June 6, there were two enemy attacks; no Ukrainian army casualties were reported over the under review, the JFO HQ said.
