Huge clouds of smoke in London’s West End as firefighters tackle restaurant fire
Clouds of thick smoke have been seen billowing from a restaurant in Mayfair as firefighters are tackling a huge blaze.
Pictures and videos of the inferno in the West End of London have been shared on social media by shocked onlookers.
The London Fire Brigade says half of a restaurants ground floor kitchen and ventilation system has been set alight.
Eight fire engines and 60 firefighters have been sent to the fire in Albemarle Street.

Emergency services were first called to the scene around 4pm this afternoon.
One video shared on social media shows smoke coming out of the entrance of Indian restaurant Gymkhana.
The cause of the fire is unknown. More to follow.
