Woman found dead at London hotel in ‘suspicious’ circumstances

A woman was found unresponsive at the scene

The death of a woman in her 30s at a London hotel today has been linked to heroin found at the scene.

Emergency services rushed to Ramada Hotel in North Finchley just before 3pm today.

Onlookers reported seeing six fire engines, eight ambulances and eight police cars.

The woman was found unresponsive by staff at the £125-a-night hotel.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and police are treating her death as ‘suspicious’.

The discovery of a substance at the scene sparked evacuation of guests and staff.

However, tests later found that the substance was heroin.

A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘A women in her 30s was found unresponsive by staff in the building.

‘London Ambulance Service attended and the female was pronounced dead at the scene.

‘Efforts are ongoing to identify the woman and inform next of kin.

‘Her death is currently being treated as suspicious.’
