A 55-YEAR-OLD woman has died after she was savaged by a dog while defending her pet from an attack in Leeds.
Sharon Jennings was walking her dog on a path between 6 and 730pm when the fight happened on May 31, police said.
She suffered bites to her hand and neck when she intervened in Preston, Lancs.
Sharon didn’t seek medical attention, but her dog was treated by a vet for an ear injury.
She died yesterday evening.
Police are looking for the dog in question as they investigate what happened.
