What illegal drugs have the Tory leadership contenders taken?
Tory leadership candidates cannot stop revealing what illegal drugs they took in the past.
It all started when contender Rory Stewart revealed he had smoked opium at a wedding in Iran 15 years ago.
Since then Michael Gove and Andrea Leadsom have admitted taking illegal substances.
But what drugs have each of the people involved in the Conservative leadership contest consumed?
International Development Secretary Mr Stewart apologised for his opium smoking and claimed it did not have a huge effect on him.
He told the Telegraph: ‘I was invited into the house, the opium pipe was passed around at a wedding.
‘I thought – this is going be a very strange afternoon to walk – but it may be that the family was so poor they put very little opium in the pipe.’
Mr Gove revealed he had taken cocaine on several occasions.
He told the Daily Mail: ‘I took drugs on several occasions at social events more than 20 years ago.
‘At the time I was a young journalist. It was a mistake. I look back and think ‘I wish I hadn’t done that’.
‘It was 20 years ago and yes, it was a mistake. But I don’t believe that past mistakes disqualify you.’
Andrea Leadsom told the Independent that she smoked weed at university.
She said: ‘Everyone is entitled to a private life before becoming an MP. I smoked weed at university and have never smoked it again since.’
Frontrunner Boris Johnson admitted he had enjoyed several joints and also said he once thought he may have been given icing sugar instead of real cocaine.
Dominic Raab admitted he took cannabis as a student but said he had ‘never taken cocaine or any class A drugs’.
Foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt revealed he consumed a cannabis lassi while backpacking in India.
