Love Island fans mock jealous Molly-Mae after she confuses Elmo with Elmer the elephant as she moans about new girls’ arrival

LOVE Island viewers mocked Molly-Mae Hague tonight after she confused Sesame Street legend Elmo with Elmer the multi-coloured elephant while moaning about new girls Maura and Elma.

The influencer was overcome with jealously after learning the two girls were taking the lads out on a date.

However, she mixed up her children’s characters while trying to take the mick out of Elma and it backfired.

Viewers shared hilarious memes on Twitter calling Molly out on her gaffe.

One wrote: “I’m pretty sure Elmo isn’t an elephant…. #loveisland.”

Another said: “Since when was Elmo an elephant #loveisland.”

There was more drama tonight when Anton got told off by Amber for comparing Anna to Molly-Mae.

Anton kicked off his chat with Anna by saying: “You look amazing tonight as always.

“You know I value you so much in here. You’re my favourite girl in here.

“Obviously Molly has come in and she is very much my type. You know that. I don’t want you to feel like you’re vulnerable in here. As long as I’m in here, I’ve got your back.”

Anna replied: “Thank you babe. Obviously, I want you to find someone.

Anton added: “As much as Molly is my type, she’s beautiful from the outside-in, you’re beautiful on the inside and out.

“You’re not necessarily my absolute type on paper but Molly, who is someone who is my type, I still wouldn’t want to be with someone like that.”

Anna reflected on her conversation with Anton in the Beach Hut.

She said: “I don’t know whether to take that as a compliment or not.”

Anna’s partner Sherif was sent packing on day nine of the show for “breaking strict rules” although ITV has not revealed the exact reason behind his exit.

His departure has thrown the show into chaos and delayed the next recoupling – with Anna remaining in the villa as single.
