EMMERDALE fans feared Marlon was DEAD after he was knocked out with a rolling pin.
In tonight’s double bill, anxious Ellis Chapman (Adan N’Jie) was seen battering him over over the head in a case of mistaken identity.
The first episode ended on a cliffhanger, with lifeless Marlon seen lying on the floor.
One fan said: “Poor Marlon, knocked out by his own rolling pin #Emmerdale.”
Another added: “OMG, Ellis hits Marlon with a rolling pin! #Emmerdale.”
Someone else said: “I was not expecting Marlon to cop for a bat to the head.”
Ellis has been struggling to cope ever since the stabbing.
Convinced Max is coming back to get him, he arms himself with a rolling pin when he hears a noise at the door.
When Marlon walked in instead, it was too late. Terrified Ellis hit him over the head – knocking Marlon to the ground.
Viewers were left fearing the worst at Marlon lay on the floor with no sign of life.
Thankfully within the first ten minutes of the second episode, Marlon woke up from unconsciousness.
Explaining what had happened, he said: “I was coming in and someone decked me”, but he had no idea who the culprit was.
Ellis kept quiet until finally confessing to his shocked one that it was him who had hurt Marlon.
He admitted: “I’ve been so nervous since I was stabbed.
“I thought someone was going to attack me again.”
The doctor explained Ellis could be suffering from PTSD.
