When is Amazon Prime Day 2019?

The date for Amazon Prime Day 2019 has not been released yet, but the sale typically happens mid-July (last year’s date was July 17). In 2018, the date was announced on July 2, so we’ll likely get confirmation in a few weeks.

Do I need to be an Amazon Prime member to take part?

Yes. If you aren’t already a Prime member and do frequently shop on Amazon, though, it’s definitely worth signing up now. Not only will you get access to the site’s massive sale, but you’ll also benefit from free two-day shipping, TV and movie streaming through Amazon Prime Video and tons more incentives year-round. For those not quite ready to commit, Amazon offers a 30-day free trial. After that, an annual subscription costs $119 per year (or just $13 a month if you prefer to pay in installments).

What shoe deals can I expect this year?

Prime Day is known for its Black Friday-like discounts on hundreds of thousands of items from electronics to home goods and fashion — including footwear. Last year, we spotted massive savings on styles for the whole family from a range of popular brands. Calvin Klein, Theory and Hugo Boss offered up to 30% off dress shoes and more streetwear looks. Athletic brands like Under Armour offered 40% off sneakers and slides, while New Balance kicks started at just $26.

Prime Day was originally a 24-hour event, but last year some deals lasted for 36 hours. We expect the savings to be just as good, if not better, this time around.

Until July, how can I find good deals now?

Even before the event begins, the site often releases early deals for Prime Day. You can find these on Amazon’s Deals page, alongside tons of daily deals up to 90% off.
