Southampton make final £14m transfer offer for Birmingham hotshot Che Adams
SOUTHAMPTON have made a take-it-or-leave-it £14million offer for Birmingham striker Che Adams.
Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has been trying to land the 22-year-old since having a £10m bid rejected in January.
But the Saints will not be held to ransom, with the Blues thought to be holding out for closer to £16m.
Adams, who scored 22 goals last season, has also attracted interest from Burnley but wants a move to the south coast.
His sensational form also saw him nominated for Championship Player of the Year.
And Hasenhuttl believes he can bring a physical presence to his new-look team.
ALL CHANGE
Speedy Malian winger Moussa Djenepo has already signed from Belgians Standard Liege for £14m.
Now, Adams could be set to follow Garry Monk out the St Andrew’s exit door.
Monk, 40, was sacked after steering the Blues to seventeenth in the Championship last term after a nine-point deduction.
Meanwhile, Southampton could be on the brink of losing Alex McCarthy to Liverpool.
