Martin Truex Jr. driving his No. 19 Bass Pro Shops Toyota Camry celebrated his 23rd victory at the 31st Annual Toyota/Save Mart 350 on Sunday, after holding back Kyle Busch in the last stage of the 90 lap race.
Truex Jr. took a lead after Busch did not follow him into the pits. When Busch did pit his M&M’s Hazelnut Toyota, Truex Jr. took an eight second advantage that Busch closed to 1.861 seconds.
This is his fourth victory and fifth top-10 finish in 14 races at Sonoma Raceway.
This is the seventh time drivers for Joe Gibbs Racing have finished first and second.
This was Busch’s seventh top-10 finish in 15 races at Sonoma Raceway and his second top-10 finish in 2019.
Ryan Blaney driving his #12 PPG Ford, finished third and posted his 15th top-10 finish in four races at Sonoma Raceway.
Sonoma Raceway is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary. On June 8, 1969, then Sears Point Raceway hosted it’s first NASCAR event.
