Didier Drogba reacts to Eden Hazard’s Chelsea FC exit
Eden Hazard cannot be replaced at Chelsea FC, according to Blues legend Didier Drogba.
The Belgian playmaker finally completed his much-anticipated move to Real Madrid from Chelsea FC earlier this month after years of speculation linking him with a switch to Spain.
Hazard is widely regarded as one of European football’s top attacking talents, and Chelsea FC will now look to life without their talismanic playmaker.
Attentions will inevitably be on which players Chelsea FC could look to bring in to replace Hazard, but Blues legend Drogba believes that there is not much that the west London club can do to replace a talent of the 28-year-old’s quality.
Speaking during an Instagram Live on Saturday, Drogba said: “No one can replace Hazard, he is special. But someone else will come, [and] step up.
“Eden Hazard is a legend at Chelsea. That’s life, that’s football.”
Chelsea FC have already added Christian Pulisic to their squad after agreeing a deal to bring him to Stamford Bridge from Borussia Dortmund back in January.
The Blues are currently on the lookout for a new manager after Maurizio Sarri left Stamford Bridge after just one year to take over at Juventus.
Sarri led Chelsea FC to a third-placed finish in the Premier League and Europa League glory, after Hazard netted twice in the final against Arsenal last month.
