Man United told 21-year-old would be a ‘fantastic’ signing

Danny Higginbotham believes that the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace would be “fantastic” for Manchester United.

The Red Devils are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign.

Manchester United have already brought in midfielder Daniel James from Swansea City this summer and the Red Devils are being linked with a host of other players this summer as well.

Crystal Palace defender Wan-Bissaka has been widely touted as a possible target for the Red Devils as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

And former defender Higginbotham believes that Wan-Bissaka would be a good addition to the Manchester United squad.

Asked if he thinks the England international would be a good recruit for the Red Devils, Higginbotham told Sky Sports: “In Wan-Bissaka, he’s a player that not many people knew too much about a couple of seasons ago.

“I’d spoken to Roy Hodgson about him when I was covering Crystal Palace’s games and he had a real baptism of fire in the first few games.

“He’s a former winger and it became apparent really when Zaha was playing against him in training and he said he’s one of the hardest defenders he’d ever played against.

“He’s not looked out of place in any game he’s played in the Premier League for Crystal Palace so I think he’d be a fantastic signing.”

Manchester United will be looking to at least break back into the top four next season after they finished in sixth place in the table and without a trophy last term.

The Red Devils have not won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s final campaign in charge in the 2012-13 season.
